Email Marketing Specialist

South AfricaFull-timePosted Aug 9, 2026

The inbox is the only marketing channel you own outright. Treat it well and it pays rent for years.

Job Overview

Our UK-based client is hiring a full-time, remote Email Marketing Specialist based in South Africa. You will own the email channel end to end: campaigns, flows, segmentation and the numbers that prove it is working. This is a long-term role on UK business hours.

About Our Client

The client is a UK business with a real subscriber base and revenue that moves when email is done well. They want a specialist who respects the inbox: relevant sends, sharp copy, and testing that compounds month after month.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and build campaign calendars aligned to commercial priorities

- Write and edit email copy that gets opened, read and clicked

- Build automated flows: welcome, nurture, abandonment and re-engagement

- Segment lists so every send lands with the right audience

- Run A/B tests on subject lines, content and timing - and keep score

- Monitor deliverability, list hygiene and compliance (GDPR)

- Report weekly on opens, clicks, conversions and revenue per send

What You Will Be Doing Day-to-Day

Your week starts with the calendar: what is going out, to whom, and why. You will draft and build emails in the platform, QA every link and render, and schedule sends for the moments they perform best.

Between campaigns you will tune the automated flows, prune the list, and dig into last week's results to decide next week's tests. Every month, your dashboard should tell a simple story: the channel is growing.

This suits a South African professional who blends copy sense with platform skill - someone who sweats the subject line and the segmentation logic equally.

If you are based in South Africa with hands-on email marketing experience and excellent written English, this is a stable remote role with a UK employer that values the channel you own. Apply today.

Requirements

- 2+ years' hands-on email marketing experience

- Excellent written English with strong copy instincts

- Proven reliability: stable fibre internet, backup power for load shedding, and a quiet home office

- Skilled with tech tools: Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot or similar, plus Google Workspace or Microsoft 365

- Comfortable with segmentation, automation logic and A/B testing

- Data-led and deadline-reliable with meticulous QA habits

Benefits

Full-time remote position working for a UK-based employer. Competitive salary paid in ZAR. Long-term stable role. Supportive team environment. Direct access to founder-led business.
