Senior Regional Director of Human Resources- South to Central Florida
The Regional Senior Director of Human Resources serves as a strategic HR leader and business partner for the South-to-Central Florida division, working closely with the Senior Vice President of Operations (SVPO), Vice Presidents of Operations (VPOs), and General Managers (GMs) to drive change and enable the achievement of strategic business goals. This role provides leadership and guidance on employee relations, talent management, and HR initiatives, ensuring alignment with VITAS Healthcare Corporation's policies, procedures, guidelines, contractual commitments, and governmental regulations. Travel 50%.
All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with VITAS Healthcare Corporation’s policies, procedures, guidelines, contractual commitments and governmental regulations.
· Strategic Business Partnership:
o Act as the division HR leader and business partner to the SVPO, VPOs, and GMs, driving change and enabling strategic business goals for the division.
o Serve as a trusted advisor, thought partner, and HR coach to leaders within the division.
o Partner with divisional and regional business leaders to provide HR perspectives and support for business initiatives.
o Liaise between field operations and Corporate HR to ensure alignment and effective two-way communication regarding programs, policies, and initiatives.
o Integrate deeply into the business to gain a comprehensive understanding of daily operations and challenges.
· Employee Relations and Engagement:
o Lead employee relations for the division, guiding broader HR implications related to employee matters.
o Provide expert guidance, coaching, and support for complex or sensitive employee-related matters.
o Partner with operations leaders and HR to make balanced and consistent employee-related decisions that align with company values and culture.
o Work with regional leaders to proactively drive positive employee engagement initiatives.
o Leads the management of legal claims, ensuring proactive risk mitigation and minimizing potential liabilities.
· Talent Management and Development:
o Lead divisional HR efforts to partner with leaders in enhancing employee development, including coaching for employee development plans, talent reviews, and succession planning.
· HR Program Implementation and Communication:
o Deliver communications and training to operations leaders on HR policies, programs, and initiatives.
o Serve as the division lead for the rollout and ongoing training supporting new or enhanced HR initiatives.
o Lead divisional HR efforts in driving proactive employee engagement including the launch of employee surveys, the communication of results, and the development of action plans for improvement.
o Present data analysis and decipher information to inform business decisions.
o Direct management of program Business Managers to ensure HR compliance and state and federal survey readiness.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
· BA degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management or related field or equivalent work experience.
· MBA or Master’s in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred.
· 10 years of progressive growth within HR roles with a strong field operational focus.
· Strong up-to-date knowledge of state and federal employment law
· A driven, innovative, and resourceful thinker capable of proactively adapting and driving positive, progressive change within the division and HR function.
· A collaborative leader capable of partnering with leaders at all levels within the division and the HR function.
· Proven track record of success operating as an HR leader in a multi-site healthcare environment; preferably experienced in healthcare services.
· Robust talent management skills with an exceptional eye on talent and a high degree of experience in employee development and growth programs and initiatives
· Ability to appropriately plan, organize, and prioritize multiple initiatives and responsibilities simultaneously.
· Superior project management skills with a demonstrated track record of success leading key initiatives from start to finish.
· Strong understanding of HRIS operating systems
· Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, coaching and influencing skills.
Certification & Licensure:
SPHR or PHR certification preferred
