Clinical Research Coordinator for the Kidney Precision Medicine Project and Renal Biorepository in the Division of Nephrology at Mount Sinai is a patient-facing role that will focus on recruitment and retention of KPMP and Biorepository patients, processing of patient bio-specimen, data entry and management, and collaboration with internal and external investigators within the KPMP consortium.
- Prescreening and presenting potential KPMP patients using Epic EMR
- Recruitment of potential KPMP patients at outpatient clinics and inpatient wards; recruitment of Biorepository patients at outpatient/inpatient kidney biopsies
- Performing informed consent procedures during Enrollment Visits for both studies, while adhering to protocol regulatory and ethical policies
- Assisting in biopsy visits in coordination with biopsy and nursing services
- Conducting Follow-Up Visits for KPMP participants according to protocol timelines
- Clinical and bio-specimen data entry in various external and internal databases
- Processing of patient bio-specimens (kidney tissue, blood, urine) and shipping of bio-specimens and tissue
- Managing and preparing bio-specimen and clinical requests from internal and external collaborators
- Preparation of clinical summary tables and figures
- Attending virtual weekly Research Coordinator and monthly working group calls for KPMP
- Attending in-person KPMP consortium meetings
- Spanish speaker with native proficiency a huge plus
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Science or closely related field.
- No experience required. One year of research experience preferred.
- Bi-lingual Spanish preferred
