Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:
- Prepare great-tasting dishes: Season, cook, and test dishes according to standard recipes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation
- Supervise the kitchen team: Oversee line cooks to ensure and provide support as needed in the absence of senior chefs to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness: Keep all work areas clean, tidy, and free of cross-contamination
- Ensure food quality and storage compliance: Monitor ingredient quality, ensuring proper storage and stock rotation
- Assist with cost management: Contribute to controlling food costs, improving gross profit margins, and meeting departmental financial targets
- Inspire and develop the team: Supervise and support team members, monitor performance, provide coaching, and foster a positive and productive work environment
- Uphold regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing.

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:
- Have a minimum of 6 months of full Australian Working rights (sponsorship is not offered)
- Physically based in the Perth Metropolitan Area or willing to relocate (no relocation allowance is offered)
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with Hilton standards and recipes.
- Support the Senior Chefs with the daily operation of your assigned kitchen section.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
- Ensure consistency in food preparation, presentation, and portion control.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Assist with stock rotation, food storage, and minimising waste.
- Contribute ideas to improve kitchen operations and menu offerings.
- Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained in good working order.
This opportunity is available as either a Casual or Part-Time position, offering flexibility to suit both operational needs and the successful candidate's availability.
