Job Overview and Responsibilities
The People Analytics team is responsible for providing data driven people insights that drive the organization forward.
The Analyst - People Analytics will partner with the HR and business stakeholders to develop reactive & proactive reporting capabilities for people metrics across the employment lifecycle. This role requires experience with by gathering data, conducting analyses, verifying reports and assist in ad-hoc decision support.
- Extract and analyze data from relational databases and reporting systems
- Curate tables and views that serve as the "single source of truth" for United's operations data
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of reports, analyses, dashboards to drive key business decisions
- Partner with HR functions to support ongoing operational analytics efforts
- Identify actionable insights and share recommendations to influence the direction of the business
- Ensure best practices are followed for data capture and tracking

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree
- Statistics, engineering, business analytics, information systems, aviation management or related degree
- Data Analysis (SQL, Python)
- Experience in AWS, Spark, and Databricks
- Data visualization (Tableau, Power BI)
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- At least 1 year of analytics experience
- Knowledge of database interface tools, SQL and programming concepts
- Knowledge of databases and data structures
- Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Create and manage new methods for data analysis that provide prescriptive and predictive insights on corporate safety data, leveraging AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity to improve analytical efficiency and support data-driven decision-making
- Writing, communication and presentation skills
- Strong strategic/critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills to complement
- Ability to work on several projects and initiatives simultaneously through appropriate prioritization
- Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
- Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree
- Experience with Workday would be a plus
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in projects, internships, or work environments.
- Knowledge of automation platforms such as Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Zapier, or n8n.
