Speech Language Pathologist
The practice of speech-language pathology shall include assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, communication, and demonstration of techniques addressing speech-language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to meet the needs of patients and their families with supervisory guidance provided as needed. Otherwise, a speech-language pathologist shall work independently without direct supervision.

Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree conferred from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
- Coursework/Training: Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year.
- Upon hire: Texas Speech Language Pathologist License, or upon hire: New Mexico Speech Language Pathologist - New Mexico Speech-Language Pathology Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing Practices Board (Vendor Managed)
- License in state of hire and wherever care is delivered
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Upon hire: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Educated or trained in dysphagia assessment and management.
- Neonatal Therapist (CCH acute only): Degree from accredited program.
- 2 years professional experience.
- 1 year acute care and/or inpatient rehabilitation experience.
