Chubb Group Management and Holdings Ltd. invites applications for the position of Executive Director for the Chubb Bermuda Foundation reporting to the Chief Administration Officer and the Executive Director of the Chubb Corporate Foundation [or the VP Corporate Giving for Chubb Limited].  The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for delivering on the overarching Mission and Focus of the Foundation.                                                                                                                                     

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the Global Corporate Giving team on global efforts and delivering on the overarching Mission and Focus of the Bermuda Foundation.

  • Proactively identify opportunities that will enable the Bermuda-based Foundation to facilitate meaningful change locally. 

  • Act as the public face of the Bermuda Foundation; effectively communicate priorities to internal and external constituencies, and proactively identify opportunities to maximize the Foundation's investments.

  • Collaborate with leadership at partner organizations to ensure alignment of goals and expectations; navigate and negotiate with stakeholders, keeping the Foundation's focus areas, priorities, and interests in mind.

  • Collaborate with internal Bermuda constituents to develop and promote employee volunteerism.

  • Implement operating practices and procedures required to deliver on the short- and long-term objectives of the Foundation, including, but not limited to, tracking and reporting mechanisms.

  • Plan and manage the day-to-day operations of the Foundation, inclusive of developing and maintaining the Foundation’s annual budget. 

  • Manage, track, and execute all charitable giving, including matching gifts, regular and one-time gifts to organizations and individuals in need.

  • Identify opportunities to raise the visibility of the Chubb Charitable Foundation Bermuda and, as appropriate, oversee the creation of relevant communication materials. 

  • Manage three regional employee committees responsible for identifying local grantmaking opportunities aligned with the Foundation’s mission and areas of focus. Responsibilities include committee member selection and orientation, participation in monthly committee meetings to provide strategic guidance and share grantmaking best practices, and grant due diligence, approval and payment processing.

  • Prepare Foundation data for submission to industry surveys, ensuring accuracy. 

  • Facilitate payments on behalf of the Chubb Charitable Foundation -International

At a minimum, the successful candidate should possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Public Administration, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.

  • Minimum of five years of experience in philanthropy, nonprofit management, corporate social responsibility, community engagement, public affairs, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated experience working with charitable foundations, community organizations, or stakeholder engagement initiatives.

  • Experience managing programs, budgets, reporting, and day-to-day operations.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders, community partners, and nonprofit organizations.

  • Strong understanding of Bermuda’s community landscape and charitable sector, with knowledge of local needs and opportunities preferred.

  • Experience developing, implementing, and tracking operating procedures, performance measures, and reporting mechanisms.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the Foundation professionally to diverse audiences.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
