Salary Range: $130,000–$180,000 Annually (adjust as appropriate for your budget)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Connected Systems Engineer with 10+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying connected, data-driven industrial systems that integrate factory-floor operations with enterprise and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Industrial IoT (IIoT), edge computing, cloud connectivity, industrial automation protocols, and OT/IT convergence, with the ability to architect scalable and secure connected solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in Industrial IoT (IIoT), industrial software engineering, or connected systems development.
- Strong programming experience in Python, C++, or Go.
- Extensive hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols including OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, and Sparkplug B.
- Strong experience with one or more major cloud IoT platforms such as AWS IoT, Microsoft Azure IoT, or Google Cloud IoT.
- Hands-on experience with edge computing platforms such as AWS Greengrass or Azure IoT Edge.
- Strong understanding of OT/IT integration, industrial networking, data acquisition, and enterprise integration architectures.
- Experience designing secure, scalable, and highly available connected industrial systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing and implementing digital twin solutions.
- Hands-on experience with predictive maintenance, AI/ML, or advanced analytics for industrial environments.
- Experience with time-series databases such as InfluxDB or TimescaleDB.
- Familiarity with Unified Namespace (UNS) architectures and event-driven industrial systems.
- Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity standards such as IEC 62443.
- Industry certifications such as ISA, AWS, Azure, or other relevant cloud and industrial automation certifications.
