As the Americas Transportation Operations Leader, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

How you will make an impact

  • Lead transportation operations across the Americas, ensuring safe, compliant, cost-effective, and reliable execution of domestic, cross-border, and international freight movements.
  • Develop regional strategies, operating plans, budgets, carrier strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet business and customer requirements.
  • Direct transportation activities across markets and functions by setting priorities, allocating resources, monitoring performance, and driving results against service, cost, quality, and compliance objectives.
  • Provide leadership and development for transportation team, including coaching, performance management, engagement, succession planning, and talent development.
  • Manage complex transportation challenges, service disruptions, carrier performance issues, capacity constraints, and escalations while balancing customer service, cost, risk, and operational priorities.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, Trade Compliance, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Planning, Commercial teams, and external logistics providers to optimize transportation performance and support business continuity.
  • Influence transportation decisions and outcomes across global logistics, impacting customer service, supply continuity, freight spend, compliance, and overall supply chain performance.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while demonstrating Solventum values through accountability, collaboration, ethical leadership, and customer focus.
  • Support corporate initiatives, ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards, and contribute to strategic and operational priorities across the organization.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, transportation, business, engineering, or a related field and 10-12 years of experience
  • Experience with Transportation operations, carrier management, freight execution, import/export coordination, logistics systems, operational governance, and related supply chain processes.
  • Experience with Regional operating requirements, customer expectations, and transportation market dynamics.
  • Experience with Transportation management systems, ERP platforms, freight audit and payment processes, analytics tools, and relevant corporate systems.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master's degree in supply chain, logistics, transportation, business, engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence across functions and drive results through others.

Work location:

  • Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Eagan when required.)

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $187,600 - $257,950, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
