The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Events Operations Specialist (f/m/d) to support and help execute Hitachi Energy’s events strategy. This role is central to streamlining event operations, maximizing return on investment, and ensuring a consistent, high-impact brand presence across all flagship events in Europe.
You will bring deep expertise in event operations, exceptional project management skills, and a passion for delivering world‑class experiences. Working closely with global, regional, and local teams, you will help create events and trade shows that elevate Hitachi Energy’s brand, strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, and amplify our presence across the global energy sector. As part of the Global Events Delivery Team, you will play a key role in translating strategy into flawless execution, driving excellence, innovation, and consistency across our event portfolio.
How you'll make an impact
Flagship Events in the Region
- Lead or support the planning and execution of strategic, high‑profile events, including:
- Industry trade shows and conferences
- Customer and investor events
- Leadership events
- Ensure a consistent and impactful experience across all touchpoints, aligned with stakeholder expectations and brand standards.
- Provide guidance and best practices to Regional and Local Events Managers to ensure high-quality, on-brand delivery.
- Take direct ownership of selected regional events.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely and build strong partnerships across business units, functions, and regions to ensure agile, cohesive delivery of best‑in‑class events.
- Promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing across geographies and teams
Budget & Risk Management
- Manage global event budgets
- Anticipate risks and develop robust contingency plans for global, regional, and local scenarios
Your background
You are a hands-on events specialist with a proven track record in complex, international environments. You bring both vision and operational excellence, and you thrive in highly collaborative, fast‑paced settings.
- 10+ years delivering large-scale, global B2B events and trade shows in a corporate, agency, or industry setting – preferably within energy, technology, or infrastructure sectors
- Strong experience in stakeholder management
- A very good knowledge of aligning cross-functional teams around shared objectives
- Highly structured and organized way of working with strong planning and project management skills
- Hands-on mentality and a solution-oriented approach to work
- Willingness to travel
- Skilled in delivering events and trade shows across multiple regions with cultural sensitivity
- Fluency in English is essential, additional languages are a strong plus
