Emergency Technician Part Time Night

Emergency Technician in our Emergency Department at Providence Little Company of Mary in Torrance, CA. This position is Part-Time and will work 12-hours Night shifts.

The Emergency Services Technician role is a non-licensed health care employee who performs delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).  These duties may include, but are not limited to ECGs, vital signs, monitoring, basic patient care and transportation.  Responds appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on the emergency department scope of service.

Required Qualifications:
  • Certification as an EMT or completion of an accredited EMT course, or equivalent educ/experience
    • Demonstrated equivalency (such as experience as a Corpsman or MD)
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training: Basis EKG course
  • Upon hire: Emergency Medical Technician License, or 
  • Upon hire: Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License, or 
  • Upon hire: Paramedic License 
  • 1 year of EMT experience.
  • 1 year of Emergency Department experience.
