Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, we are looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer / Senior UI Automation Engineer to join our Industrial Automation Digital Organization. The role requires a strong software engineering professional with expertise in UI automation, API automation, cloud-native quality engineering, and modern test automation frameworks. You will be responsible for designing and developing scalable automation frameworks, strengthening end-to-end quality validation, and driving engineering excellence through AI-assisted automation, CI/CD integration, and Agile software development practices.
This role is contributing to the Process Automation – Automation Digital organization in Bangalore, India. Main stakeholders include Software Engineering, Product Management, Quality Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Architecture teams.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Design, develop, and enhance scalable UI, API, integration, and end-to-end automation frameworks using modern automation technologies to ensure reliable validation of cloud-native SaaS applications and business-critical product workflows.
- Drive engineering excellence by improving automation framework architecture, CI/CD pipeline integration, automation reliability, performance validation, reusable engineering components, debugging capabilities, and release quality across the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Software Engineering, DevOps, Quality Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders to align automation strategies with business objectives, support release readiness, and deliver high-quality software using Agile methodologies.
- Leverage AI-assisted and Agentic AI engineering practices to improve automation efficiency, mentor engineering teams, promote automation best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance software quality, engineering productivity, and operational excellence.
Qualifications for the Role
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- 6–10 years of experience in Software Development, Automation Engineering, or Quality Engineering, with strong expertise in enterprise application testing and automation.
- Strong programming skills in C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript, with hands-on experience in Selenium, Playwright, Protractor, or similar UI automation frameworks, along with API automation development.
- Good understanding of automation framework architecture, software design patterns, CI/CD pipelines, web technologies, debugging techniques, release engineering, and cloud-native software development practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, distributed engineering teams, AI-assisted development tools, and Agentic AI-based automation approaches is preferred. Azure certifications and performance engineering experience are considered an advantage.
- Exposure to performance testing, simulation-based validation, industrial software platforms, and complex cross-system business workflows is desirable.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, mentoring, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence technical direction and continuously improve engineering quality.
