Sr. Program Manager, OpenShift Platform Global Services
As a Sr. Program Manager, you will be responsible for organizing, leading, and supporting global strategic functions driving Red Hat Services’ growth and expertise in the OpenShift Platform. Aligning to Red Hat’s OpenShift Platform Teams spanning core functionality of Virtualization, Application Platform, and Container Management, –where the OpenShift Platform Global Services practice will lead first of a kind engagements and build delivery expertise to support the Geo practices.
This role provides oversight and program management support to Red Hat Services’ strategic engagements and opportunities around OpenShift Platform, globally. This role works closely with GTM, Tech Sales, Services, and BU leadership to ensure consistently outstanding customer experiences are achieved and customer loyalty sustained with Red Hat’s OpenShift Platform offerings. This role will lead first-of-a -a-kind customer engagements, with the potential for multiple engagements running concurrently, and will have significant long-term impact on the overall customer success with our line of offerings.
In this role, you will lead the planning and implementation of successful OpenShift Platform consulting engagements for customers, and will consistently improve our go-to-market, marketing, operational, and enablement strategies. Red Hat Services has geographically-focused leaders that will rely on this role to help guide consistent growth and delivery to ensure that Red Hat’s standards of excellence are met in each engagement irrespective of where services are being delivered. This role will work closely with other leaders across the company to strategically partner on cross-business function programs and initiatives.
This role reports directly to the Sr. Director of OpenShift Platform Global Services and supports both the global and geo services teams.
This is a remote position with future weekly travel to customer sites and can be located anywhere in the U.S. within close proximity to an airport. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do:
Lead customer consulting engagements for first-of-a-kind projects on Red Hat’s OpenShift Platform, including Virtualization Migrations, Application Platform, and OpenShift Security projects
Lead and manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
Ensure all projects meets the target outcomes and any KPIs defined in the project proposal
Lead project planning activities, virtually and in person, and key executive stakeholder communications, both during meetings and in written form.
Use ongoing delivery experience to develop and evolve our global delivery guidance for first-of-a-kind customer projects.
Support the design of a comprehensive OpenShift Platform professional services portfolio, including collaborating across Red Hat Services’ organizations to create world-class Consulting, TAM, and Training offerings
Support Red Hat’s vision to deliver an exceptional customer experience for OpenShift Platform customers
Support delivery of first-of-a-kind cloud consulting engagements across the globe
Structure and manage first-of-a-kind projects on the OpenShift Platform
What you will bring:
5+ years program management experience leading key initiatives and high-performing teams
5+ years of professional services or customer-facing experience
Experience working closely with sales teams in an enterprise software of SaaS company
Experience with Cloud Services, Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (Saas) offerings-based business models
Experience in application development, workload onboarding and adoption on cloud based services
Subject matter expert in DevOps, agile and similar concepts
Experience and tenacity to drive transformational change through a large organization
Experience defining and driving the value of Consulting in a large organization
Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written with excellent presentation skills
Ability to travel internationally
Executive presence with public speaking skills
English, and ideally other required language skills
Nice to have:
Appreciation of and passion for open-source software
Experience with Red Hat’s technology portfolio
Knowledge of Red Hat’s OpenShift portfolio and offerings, experience developing Services’ offerings is a plus
Development of Go to Market strategies

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
