Alternative Investment Solutions (AIS) provides administrative fund services to Alternative Investments including Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Real Assets Funds. We deliver customized services to our clients, operating in 13 countries supporting all global regions. 

 

We are seeking a highly accomplished senior leader to join State Street’s Alternative Investment Solutions (AIS) business in APAC. This role will be central to advancing an integrated regional operating model across one of the fastest-growing private markets regions, with accountability for scale, resilience, control and differentiated client outcomes. The successful candidate will bring strong executive presence, strategic judgment, operational depth and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across a complex global organization. This leader will be expected to operate with clarity, pace and discipline while leading a sizeable, multi-location operations platform through continued growth, transformation and change. 

 

 

Why this role is important to us 

 

This is a critical senior leadership appointment within State Street’s AIS organization, accountable for unifying regional delivery, strengthening end-to-end ownership and positioning the APAC platform for sustainable growth. The role will provide clear executive accountability for service quality, operational resilience, risk and control discipline, productivity, talent development and the delivery of consistent, high-quality outcomes for clients and stakeholders across APAC. 

 

 

What you will be responsible for 

 

Critical business priorities:   

  • Provide senior leadership for the Alts operations teams across Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Hangzhou and Manila 

  • Shape and execute a more integrated APAC operating model that strengthens end-to-end accountability, simplifies governance and supports scalable regional growth. 

  • Collaborate with regional business and product leadership to advance strategic growth initiatives, support complex commercial opportunities and ensure operational capabilities effectively enable client acquisition, retention and sustainable revenue growth. 

  • Lead strategic transformation across technology, process, data, controls and organizational design, with a clear focus on service excellence and long-term platform efficiency. 

  • Own the delivery of complex daily operations, including robust oversight of vendor-supported activities, critical processes and client-impacting services. 

  • Act as the senior regional escalation point for operational matters, strategic client priorities, service performance and new business readiness. 

  • Strengthen the risk and control environment while driving productivity, operational discipline, simplification and continuous improvement. 

  • Build trusted partnerships across business, product, client service, technology, risk, finance and regional leadership teams to deliver shared priorities. 

  • Maintain senior accountability for client experience, service governance, relationship engagement and timely resolution of client-impacting issues. 

  • Apply strong APAC market and cultural awareness to lead effectively across locations and promote an inclusive, collaborative and high-accountability environment. 

  • Develop a deep, diverse and resilient leadership bench through deliberate talent development, succession planning and disciplined performance management. 

 

As a SVP you will: 

  • Champion differentiated client outcomes by aligning stakeholders, resolving complex issues and ensuring service delivery supports broader commercial and relationship priorities. 

  • Ensure timely, accurate and well-controlled delivery of NAV calculations, financial reporting and investor reporting across relevant platforms and client mandates. 

  • Convert performance insights, client feedback and risk indicators into practical action plans with clear ownership, measurable outcomes and disciplined follow-through. 

  • Maintain strong accountability for regulatory compliance, operational risk management, issue remediation and adherence to applicable policies, standards and control expectations. 

  • Engage and influence senior global and regional stakeholders to align priorities, share best practices and advance a consistent, scalable and resilient operating model. 

  • Lead business continuity planning and execution, ensuring operational resilience, governance discipline and readiness across locations and critical services. 

  • Identify and deliver transformation, automation, standardization and capacity-creation opportunities that improve productivity, control, transparency and client experience. 

  • Lead a large regional team through clear direction, strong communication, effective delegation, leadership development, employee engagement and succession planning.

Education & Preferred Qualifications 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in finance, accounting, economics, business management or a related discipline preferred. 

  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, with the ability to present complex matters clearly to senior audiences. 

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and relationship management skills across senior stakeholders and complex client situations. 

  • 20+ years of financial services experience, including senior leadership of large-scale, multi-location operations teams. 

  • Extensive experience managing and delivering fund accounting, financial reporting and/or alternative investment servicing capabilities. 

  • Proven business unit management experience, particularly with complex institutional clients requiring significant senior-level engagement. 

  • Deep knowledge of the financial services industry, with strong understanding of investment management, private markets and alternative investment operations. 

  • CFA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification would be an advantage.
