Job Description
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Reporting in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support badge-related processes. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns. - Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with authorized entry and directing individuals as appropriate.
- Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
