Software Engineer (Generative AI and Innovation)

The Frame, IrelandRegularPosted Jul 31, 2026

Excited by the pace of AI and the chance to build something meaningful? Join our growing Innovation team in Dublin and help create next-generation applications using the latest tools, technologies, and ideas. AI is a huge part of what we do — but we’re an innovation team first, applying whatever emerging technology best solves the problem, from LLMs to data, integration, and automation.

You’ll work alongside experienced and curious colleagues in a collaborative environment that encourages exploration, learning, and shared problem-solving. With strong support from senior leaders and visibility across the business, the team is well placed to develop, test, and scale new solutions. Your work will be visible, valued, and connected to key priorities from day one.

This is a hybrid position with a requirement of 3 days in the office.

THE ROLE & YOUR MISSION

This is an opportunity to grow as an engineer while building, testing, and scaling solutions that make a real difference. As a mid-level member of the team, you’ll take ownership of features and components end to end, turning ideas into practical applications that address real business and client needs — with AI and LLMs the biggest part of the toolkit, alongside data, integration, and automation. Alongside hands-on engineering, you’ll help shape our innovation hub by contributing to hackathons, engaging with the broader tech community, and supporting a culture centered on experimentation, learning, collaboration, and results.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own medium-scale features and components end to end, from prototyping through to production-ready solutions, with senior guidance available when you need it

  • Contribute to design discussions, bringing sound technical reasoning and viable suggestions to the table

  • Build practical applications — AI-powered and otherwise — that address real business problems and deliver measurable value

  • Work closely with colleagues across our Dublin and international Innovation teams, while taking initiative and contributing your own ideas

  • Work in an Agile environment where you can experiment, learn quickly, and see the impact of your work

  • Stay hands-on with the latest AI tools, models, and techniques, with ongoing opportunities to learn, test, and evolve

  • Build and maintain evaluation harnesses and follow good practice in prompt engineering, experimentation, and solution design

  • Create reusable components, tools, and patterns that help the wider team work more effectively and consistently

  • Share what you learn, support technical quality, and help junior colleagues grow through code reviews and pairing

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT

This is a chance to accelerate your career in a team that’s growing quickly and working with purpose. You’ll own meaningful work, explore the latest technologies, and develop your craft while helping shape how we build. With strong leadership support, visibility across the business, and access to the resources of a global organization, you’ll have the platform to make a genuine impact while continuing to grow. And you’ll do it from Dublin, one of Europe’s most dynamic and well-connected tech hubs.

What you need to have:

  • Solid software engineering experience (typically 2–5 years), with a track record of delivering features independently

  • Experience contributing to production-grade applications

  • Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript development, including a framework such as React, Vue, or Angular

  • Backend experience with Node.js, NestJS, or similar technologies

  • Experience using Python to build AI-powered workflows, integrations, or applications

  • Good understanding of APIs and integrating AI into real-world products and business processes

  • Hands-on experience building with LLMs, including prompt design, tool use, and structured outputs

  • Familiarity with RAG, retrieval pipelines, and embeddings

  • Exposure to modern agent patterns and multi-step, tool-connected workflows

  • Working knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes, and an interest in how AI applications are deployed and scaled

  • Good communication skills, a practical and thoughtful approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work across engineering and business teams

What makes you stand out:

  • Experience taking features from early experimentation through to production use

  • Curiosity about emerging standards in the agent ecosystem, including Model Context Protocol (MCP)

  • Exposure to vector databases and semantic search

  • An eye for the quality, reliability, latency, and cost-efficiency of AI systems

  • Exposure to AI evaluation frameworks, testing approaches, and guardrails for reliable and responsible AI

  • A willingness to support others and contribute to engineering best practices

We know that candidates may not meet every listed requirement exactly. If you’re excited about the role and believe you could thrive in it, we encourage you to apply.

Why join our team:
