Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday It involves regular climbing of towers and rooftop sites, with a strong focus on safety, quality standards, and performance targets. The role requires flexibility for travel and shift work, including a 24/7 callout rota, and is physically demanding, involving lifting, climbing, and working both indoors and outdoors. You will communicate with internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner You will identify opportunities for continuous improvement and challenge existing processes and procedures in order to deliver operational excellence for our customers Recruiting for a experienced Field Engineer with a requirement to develop as a Climbing Engineer. Any offer would be subject to successful completion of a Climbing Assessment. Security Clearance: This position requires you to hold or the ability and willingness to obtain a Secured Vetting (SC) clearance You will have a formal telecoms/electronic qualification or equivalent experience gained through previous roles. You will have experience in service provision, fault diagnosis, and resolution across a range of telecommunications technologies, including multi vendor CPE (such as Cisco, Juniper and ADVA), core transmission technologies like DWDM and Ethernet, mobile networks (3G/4G/5G), microwave radio, switching and DC power systems, as well as fibre and copper cabling and termination. You will have the ability to manage your workload effectively and work in a focused manner under pressure to meet tight deadlines. You will have a valid full UK /EU driving license (Category B) You will have the ability to achieve and maintain Advanced Climber / Tower Rescue Certification and passing regular health assessments in accordance with MATS guidance. You will be able to achieve and maintain SC clearance.
