Job Description:

Responsible for performing radiographic imaging procedures under guidance of a licensed radiologic technologist to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Positions, moves, and assists patients to ensure accurate imaging results. This role performs clerical duties and provides basic patient care within the scope of practice and departmental standards. In addition, this position adheres to compliance plans and regulations of local, state, and federal agencies.

  • Radiology Technologist Scholarship Program is available for senior students in a Radiologic Technology Program.

  • This position offers a 10,000 scholarship for the chosen applicant.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds. 

  • Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely.

  • Performs patient care duties within scope of practice, including transporting patient and using proper infection control techniques.

  • Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.

  • Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.

  • Ability to follow basic radiation safety concepts of time, distance and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patient and staff.

  • Other duties as assigned. Pursues ARRT registration and appropriate continuing education for professional development.

  • Performs radiographic imaging procedures under the guidance of radiologic technologist, ensuring high-quality images that meet department standards.

  • Positions patients and equipment, selecting technical factors to produce radiographic images safely and in a timely manner.

  • Performs imaging with correct patient demographic and examination information. Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems. 

  • Assists patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and privacy, in compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Education:

  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

  • Senior student (and in good standing) of a 2-year Allied Health program [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

$15.00 - $22.50
