Description:

The Radiology Coordinator serves as the central point of accountability for the retrieval, tracking, import, and coordination of all external diagnostic imaging studies required for patient care within the Cancer Program. This role is responsible for ensuring that imaging from outside facilities is obtained, accurately imported into the image viewing system, and made available for timely clinical review by Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology providers.

The coordinator works closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, schedulers, navigators, and clinical support teams to ensure all clinically necessary imaging is available prior to patient consultations, follow-up visits, treatment planning activities, and other care decisions. Through proactive management of imaging requests and follow-up activities, this role directly supports efficient workflows, continuity of care, and high-quality patient outcomes.
