Your mission

Your role is to directly support our Financial Analyst with the operational financial process from beginning to end. You will analyse complex problems and work together to optimise the process. You will work through all the details of how to best implement process improvements.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Process and maintain the daily accounts payable and receivable activities and assist in forecasting cash flows

  • Support in the preparation of the monthly and quarterly reports

  • Prepare supporting documents for reports, audits and financial reviews

  • Collaborate with Circle leads to verify financial data

  • Work on ad-hoc financial analyses to support the circles

Your profile

You are an independent, self-starting student or recent graduate or equivalent in the field of business & financial administration, business management, or accounting. You have strong analytical skills and are knowledgeable about financial operations. 

Technical: Comfortable and skilled working with Excel and Google Sheets. A working understanding of AP/AR and basic bookkeeping (P&L, balance sheet, debit/credit) is needed to work independently. Affinity with Exact Online is preferred.

Personal: Precise and reliable. Confident communicator. Discrete and professional. Independent worker.  Proactive and solution-oriented.

Education: MBO or HBO student in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or similar. Ideally in their final year or a recent graduate. Dutch language proficiency is strongly preferred.

This is a paid internship for a minimum of 4-5 days a week for a period of 6-8 months, but ideally in a full-time capacity, to start in September 2026. We offer a stipend of  €775 per month and 13 paid leave days based on full-time 6 months internship. If you live outside Amsterdam, we can provide travel reimbursement.

For this job, you must be based in the Netherlands. Dutch citizenship is not required, but you need to have a valid work permit to work in the Netherlands; Circle does not act as visa sponsor for internships.
