About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Network Manager to provide senior technical leadership across OT, Corporate IT, and Security network environments supporting our mission-critical data center delivery and operations.

This role sits within our Data Center Infrastructure team and acts as the bridge between Infrastructure and the partner teams that own Corporate IT and Security networks, ensuring those systems are reviewed, coordinated, physically deployed, validated, and handed over successfully. Corporate IT and Security teams retain ownership of their own standards and operations; this role provides consultative design support and deployment leadership for those environments, while directly owning OT network delivery, monitoring, cybersecurity, maintenance, and operational readiness in partnership with the OT Network SME.

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of critical infrastructure and cybersecurity, helping ensure our data centers come online safely, securely, and on schedule.

What You'll be Doing

- Serve as the senior network subject matter expert for OT networks and for the physical deployment and integration of Corporate IT and Security network infrastructure across Nscale data centers.
- Partner with Corporate IT, Security, Controls, SCADA, design, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to align requirements, interfaces, and deployment plans.
- Consult on Corporate IT and Security network designs as they relate to pathways, cabinet layouts, fiber and copper routing, power, cooling, constructability, and installation sequencing, while those teams retain final design ownership.
- Support the physical deployment, labeling, turnover, and site validation of Corporate IT and Security network equipment, cabling, and supporting infrastructure delivered through the Data Center Infrastructure team.
- Partner with the OT Network SME to support OT network architecture, segmentation, managed switching, firewall boundaries, redundancy, and PLC and SCADA interfaces.
- Support OT network monitoring, alarming, cyber hygiene, and operational visibility to detect, escalate, and resolve network issues quickly.
- Coordinate OT cybersecurity practices including remote access controls, patch and vulnerability coordination, backup and restore planning, and incident response support.
- Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, failover testing, and operational readiness activities for OT networks and related Corporate IT and Security interfaces.
- Support OT network troubleshooting, maintenance, lifecycle updates, and recovery from network events during deployment and live operations.
- Maintain network documentation and ensure vendor and integrator deliverables meet Nscale standards for quality, resilience, cybersecurity, and handover completeness.

About You

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience supporting industrial or OT networks, enterprise network deployments, critical infrastructure, or mission-critical data center environments.
- Strong understanding of OT networking concepts including EtherNet/IP, VLANs, routing and switching fundamentals, network segmentation, managed switches, redundancy design, and network interfaces to PLC and SCADA systems.
- Working knowledge of Corporate IT and Security network environments and the practical requirements for deploying those systems in mission-critical data centers.
- Experience coordinating with Corporate IT, Security, Controls, SCADA, construction, commissioning, OEMs, and system integrators.
- Familiarity with OT cybersecurity, network monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational readiness for critical infrastructure networks.
- Experience supporting FAT, SAT, commissioning, field deployment, or turnover of networked systems.

Nice to Have

- Experience supporting data center BMS, EPMS, SCADA, security, or other critical facility network environments.
- Experience with industrial and enterprise networking platforms such as Cisco Industrial, Cisco Catalyst or Nexus, Stratix, Hirschmann, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with IEC 62443, NIST, or similar OT cybersecurity frameworks.
- CCNA, CCNP, industrial networking certification, cybersecurity certification, or equivalent technical credentials.

Why this role matters

This role sits at the center of Nscale's most sensitive infrastructure, where OT, Corporate IT, and Security networks all have to work together flawlessly for our data centers to come online and stay online. Get it right, and deployments run smoothly and securely. Get it wrong, and it's the kind of gap that causes outages or security incidents at the worst possible time.
