Job Title: Deputy Project Manager - IBMS
Location: Kolkata

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Project Manager - IBMS to support the planning, execution, and delivery of Integrated Building Management System (IBMS) projects. The incumbent will be responsible for end-to-end project execution, stakeholder coordination, resource management, and ensuring timely project completion while maintaining quality, safety, and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute IBMS projects from initiation to commissioning and handover.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, OEMs, and internal teams for seamless project delivery.
  • Oversee installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of IBMS and associated ELV systems.
  • Monitor project schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource utilization.
  • Ensure project execution adheres to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Track project progress and prepare periodic status reports, MIS, and project documentation.
  • Manage subcontractors and site teams to ensure timely completion of activities.
  • Handle project risks, change requests, and escalation management.
  • Support procurement and material planning activities to avoid project delays.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with engineering and programming teams for system integration and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide technical and execution-related support.

Technical Expertise Required

Strong experience in execution and project management of the following systems:

  • Integrated Building Management System (IBMS)
  • Building Management System (BMS)
  • Fire Alarm System (FAS)
  • Access Control System (ACS)
  • CCTV / Video Surveillance System
  • Public Address System (PA)
  • Intrusion Detection System
  • Networking and Structured Cabling
  • HVAC Integration
  • Energy Monitoring System (EMS)
  • SCADA Integration (preferred)

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical & Electronics, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Project Management certification will be an added advantage.

Desired Experience

  • 8-12 years of experience in IBMS/BMS/ELV project execution and project management.
  • Proven experience in handling commercial buildings, IT parks, hospitals, airports, metro, industrial, smart city, or large infrastructure projects.
  • Hands-on experience in project planning, scheduling, coordination, commissioning, and client management.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and contractors.

Required Skills

  • Strong project execution and management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of IBMS architecture, protocols, and system integration.
  • Good understanding of HVAC, electrical, and ELV systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commercial awareness and contract management understanding.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight timelines.
