About our Governance, Risk and Compliance FS team 

You will join a multidisciplinary team of around 65 specialists within our Financial Services practice, including a strong actuarial community. Together, we support leading organisations on complex topics related to employee benefits, actuarial consulting, IFRS, US GAAP and pension governance. 

Our team combines deep technical expertise with a collaborative and forward-looking mindset, working closely with Tax and Legal Services, Deals and Accounting Advisory Services to deliver high-impact, integrated solutions. 

What your day will look like

  • As an Employee Benefits Actuary Expert, you will take ownership of complex actuarial projects and deliver high-quality results while guiding and developing others. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Leading and performing actuarial valuations for employee benefits under IAS19 (IFRS) and ASC 715 (USGAAP). 

  • Supporting audit teams with technical expertise on employee benefits accounting, including review of pension obligations (IFRS/USGAAP) and IORP technical provisions (Belgian legislation). 

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders on employee benefits and pensions matters. 

  • Collaborating across PwC teams to deliver integrated, client-focused solutions. 

  • Managing projects planning, timelines and budgets to ensure high-quality and timely delivery. 

  • Coaching and mentoring colleagues, fostering learning, knowledge sharing and team growth. 

  • Contributing to the development of new services, innovation and business opportunities within the actuarial practice. 

 

What we expect from you

  • We are looking for a collaborative and results-driven professional who combines strong technical expertise with leadership and coaching skills: 

  • Qualified actuary with at least 8 years of experience in employee benefits and actuarial consulting. 

  • Strong knowledge of IAS19 / ASC 715 and Belgian pension legislation (IORP). 

  • Proven experience in managing projects and taking ownership from planning to delivery. 

  • Ability to coach, develop and empower team members, providing clear feedback and supporting their growth. 

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex actuarial topics into clear, practical insights for non-specialists. 

  • A critical and analytical mindset, with a structured approach to problem-solving. 

  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a diverse and inclusive environment. 

  • Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving context. 

  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify client needs and opportunities. 

  • Fluent in English, with a good command of French and/or Dutch.
