Job Title:

Social Marketing Manager

About Bombas:

Bombas is a comfort focused premium basics brand with a mission to help those in need. The company launched in 2013, after the founders learned that socks are the #1 most requested clothing item at homeless shelters. From there, they set out to solve that problem, donating a pair of socks for every pair they sell. How do you donate a lot of socks? You sell a lot. And how do you sell a lot? You make the most comfortable socks in the history of feet. Millions of pairs sold and donated later, Bombas has continued to innovate within its mission and product, introducing new socks, as well as underwear and t-shirts, the #2 and #3 most requested clothing items at homeless shelters, all while continuing to make a positive impact on the community where we all work and live.

The word Bombas is derived from the Latin word for bumblebees. Bees work together to make their hive a better place. At Bombas, we’re inspired by that. We know it’s the collective efforts of our team that keeps the Hive alive and strong - a team that is diverse and inclusive. Different perspectives strengthen our ability to make the most comfortable versions of the products people wear closest to their bodies every day and to serve the communities where we all work and live. We are committed to continuously building a Hive where all are welcomed, seen, and heard regardless of age, color, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, genetics, physical or mental ability, protected veteran status race, religion and sexual orientation. As a team, we will strive to create room for different experiences and empower all voices.

Based on the specific needs and job requirements, this role will be working out of our Bombas HQ in New York City.

About the Job:

We’re looking for a strategic, performance-driven Marketing Manager to lead day-to-day management across our Social platforms. Reporting directly into the Director of Acquisition, this role is for someone who sees paid media as a dynamic growth engine and thrives on owning channel performance and optimization end-to-end.

You will own the day-to-day tactical optimization of channels like Meta and Applovin, collaborating with our Manager of Search and Senior Manager of Offline to hit specific revenue and margin goals. To effectively manage your platform(s), you’ll triangulate performance data across internal systems to validate incrementality, pressure-test results, and uncover growth opportunities others miss.

This role sits at the intersection of media, analytics, and creative strategy. You’ll partner closely with our internal Content and Site Merchandising teams to develop channel-specific creative and landing page POVs that drive measurable performance improvements.

If you’re deeply analytical, relentlessly curious, and energized by turning data into growth — we’d love to meet you.

What you’ll be responsible for:

Channel Strategy & Performance

  • Own end-to-end strategy for Paid Social across our product categories (Sock, Footwear, Intimates, and T’s).
  • Execute daily, tactical platform optimizations. You will actively manage campaigns/ad sets, pacing, and budget allocations to ensure we never miss a beat on performance.
  • Identify opportunities for incremental growth across campaigns.
  • Continuously test audiences, bidding strategies, creative formats, landing pages, and campaign structures.
  • Partner closely with the Search Manager and Offline team on overarching channel strategy, pacing, and performance.

Data Validation & Incrementality

  • Demonstrate a strong data propensity, cross-referencing platform-reported metrics with internal data to validate incrementality and aggressively scale what works.
    • Identify discrepancies and/or trends between platform reporting and internal data and proactively adjust strategy.
  • Partner with Analytics to evaluate incrementally and pressure-test performance.
  • Analyze customer cohort performance and CAC:LTV ratio to assess impact.

Testing & Optimization

  • Develop and maintain structured testing roadmaps across channels while executing clear A/B tests within the platforms. Leverage performance insights to iterate quickly, rigorously documenting what works to build a playbook of 'hyperefficient products' and scale creative winners.Stay ahead of platform changes, new features, and emerging technologies and opportunities.
  • Champion a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner directly with the Sr. Manager of Growth Content (our internal 'Content Supply Chain') to rapidly ingest, test, and scale assets. You will translate platform performance back into actionable feedback to fuel the next batch of creative/copy, reflecting a strong POV on what works on each platform and why.
  • Partner with the merchandising and planning teams on product support based on company priorities, channel performance, and seasonal stories.
  • Work with the site merchandising and digital product teams on landing page and/or site testing strategies to amplify channel performance.

What we’ll love about you:

  • Analytical rigor, with comfort working in Looker and excel, analyzing large datasets, and translating numbers into actionable insights
  • A 'create vs. find winners' mentality. You rigorously triangulate platform metrics with internal incrementality data to prove real business value, and you try multiple angles on selling products.
  • Experience acting as the testing engine for high-velocity creative. You excel at taking a high volume of assets from an internal 'Content Supply Chain,' rapidly testing them, and pinpointing winners.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for the craft of media buying. You possess a deep 'joy and curiosity' for what's possible on platforms, getting excited by reading the daily data and testing new hypotheses.
  • A proactive, inquisitive mindset. You are the type of media buyer who wants to know exactly what tools we use, what experiments we are running, and how we are building our growth engine.
  • Flexible work schedule based on channel optimization needs (e.g. comfortable with weekend platform management based on performance).
  • Experience with feed management, especially Feedonomics is a plus

What you’ll love about us:

  • We are a team of smart, interesting, diverse, funny, and loving people.
  • We offer competitive compensation, employer paid health, medical and dental benefits, 401k with match, paid parental leave, snacks, socks and a fun, relaxed office environment.
  • We take the responsibility to make sure you are excited, happy, and find fulfillment in your work very seriously.
  • We value fun. This is why we host office lunches, offsite team outings and company retreats.
  • We believe in giving back to the community and helping those in need, which is why we volunteer as a team regularly.
  • We believe success comes from the collective effort of all, which is why all full-time employees receive equity in the business.
  • We understand the value of health, relaxation, spending time with friends and family, and traveling the world and offer flexible paid time off for all full-time employees. This includes over 20 paid company holidays, year-round "Flexible Fridays" and unlimited vacation, sick, and wellness days.
  • We understand the importance of communication and offer a monthly phone stipend for all full-time employees.
  • We believe a healthy body equals a healthy mind, so we offer a $100 monthly wellbeing reimbursement to all full-time employees.

What you’ll bring:

  • 4-7+ years of experience in performance marketing and media buying, specifically managing Paid Social budgets of $30mm+
  • Proven track record of managing and scaling sizable monthly budgets in alignment with CPA and ROAS targets
