About this role / Job Summary
The Category Associate Manager provides analytical, commercial, and governance support to the Global Category Leader(s). This role supports execution of global category strategies through negotiation preparation, contract renewals, cost reduction initiatives, and structured category governance. The position operates in a fast paced, global, matrix organization and partners closely with cross functional and regional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Support the execution of global category strategies by delivering spend analysis, market intelligence, dashboards, and executive‑level insights.
Support global and regional negotiations through cost models, benchmarks, and structured negotiation preparation, track contract renewals and compliance.
Identify, size, and track cost‑reduction and productivity opportunities; support AOP commitments and savings validation with finance.
Manage category council governance, including meeting cadence, materials, action tracking, and supplier/QBR review preparation.
Partner with regional sourcing and cross‑functional teams to ensure consistent execution of global category strategies across regions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field.
12-15 years of experience in category management, direct strategic sourcing, source to contract
Have strong exposure to global suppliers
Experience supporting global or regional sourcing teams in a matrix organization.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in HVAC, rotating equipment or engineered component supply base.
Exposure to global negotiations, contract management, or productivity programs.
Experience working with global stakeholders across APAC, EMEA, and Americas.
