Job DescriptionBD Parata is currently seeking a Field Support Engineer in the California bay area. The Field Support Engineer will provide in depth technical and customer support of BD Parata’s suite of pharmacy automation products. In this role you will travel regionally to provide industry leading support and service to Pharmacies in multiple types of environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver exceptional customer service and technical problem resolution at client sitesMaintain equipment and proactively resolve potential issues to maximize uptimeTrain customers on operation and maintenance of pharmacy automation systemsRespond to service requests within SLA requirementsCollaborate with service teams to resolve complex technical issuesAssist with new automation installations as neededDocument issues and resolutions in Salesforce Field Service LightningProvide product feedback to drive continuous improvementWork independently with minimal supervision RequirementsAssociate's degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Robotics, or Biomedical Engineering Technology preferred, plus 3-5 years field service experience (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience)Valid driver's license and clean driving recordWithin commutable distance of San Jose CAPreferred Skills and Experience:Strong customer service orientationProficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of computer networking, router/switch configuration, and file managementStrong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools for complex equipment serviceExperience with digital multi-meters and electrical testing equipmentSQL knowledge a plus Physical RequirementsDaily car travel (average 4 hours per day) with occasional air travelAbility to lift/carry up to 50 pounds frequently, 100 pounds occasionallyStand for extended periods (up to 10-12 hours when necessary) We ProvideFleet vehicleCorporate credit card for expensesCompany laptop and phoneComplete tool kitComprehensive benefits packageWe are targeting a starting base pay of $35.00 - $40.00 per hour depending on candidate experience.At BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
