Job Summary Principle Accountabilities: *Reviewed in conjunction with the manager the existing standards of production are satisfactory and follow safety regulations. Also helps the Manager to check the past records of production to review if the existing standards will continue to bring in more customers *Lead group of workers to achieve Department and Company goal. *Report all abnormalities detected. *Keep records filed orderly and maintained at all times. *Maintain QA areas to be auditable at all times for ISO and customer compliance. *Ensure only certified QA inspectors work on product specifications and requirements. *Ensure all shipment buy off activities are conducted effectively and within the stipulated requirements. *Review some business statistics. *Determine and document any areas that may need improvement. *Inspect and sample the entire manufacturing process. *Review the current policies and improvise plans to improve upon the existing quality standards. *Review and analyze the effectiveness of the modifications made. *Ensure that all procedures within the company conform to health and safety regulations, financial policies and legislation such as equal opportunity. *Help the manager to educate the sales and marketing departments regarding the specific requirements of clients. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: *Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. *Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. *Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. *Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. *Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. *Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. *Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. *Demonstrates advanced technical skills which may be used to conduct on-the-job training and/or lead/guide other employees. *Demonstrates knowledge of advanced technologies as well as functional techniques and improves processes. *Applies new technologies and technological changes Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Scope / Impact: *Contributes to and improves techniques/ concepts Decision Making / Discretion: *Determines quality/testing methods/ procedures on new assignments. Decisions may affect external parties Supervision / Leadership: *May mentor, coach and lead other employees and or may develop employees at other levels. Work Environment: *While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and work that requires repetitive motion. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Physical Demands: *While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and color vision. Ability to handle small components.
