Marketing Assistant
Job Description
Dewberry is looking for an experienced Marketing Assistant to support U.S. West in California. This role is ideal for a confident AEC marketing professional who enjoys leading pursuits, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality proposals that win work.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain real-world experience supporting proposals, marketing initiatives, and business development efforts—while learning from experienced marketers and design professionals.
You’ll play an important part in helping our team deliver polished, client-focused materials that support meaningful projects in the communities we serve. Our Engineering practice includes roadway and bridge engineers, construction management experts, and water professionals who believe great design starts with curiosity, collaboration, and understanding each client's mission.

The projected range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. We are hiring at all levels, and we encourage all candidates to apply.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Support the marketing team throughout the proposal and pursuit process.
- Assist with early-stage capture activities, including research and coordination.
- Help develop marketing materials by collaborating with Pursuit Managers and technical teams.
- Write and update basic marketing content such as project descriptions, resumes, and practice overviews.
- Maintain and organize information in our CRM database.
- Support marketing and communications initiatives.
- Coordinate logistics for conferences, events, and industry outreach.
- Assist with proposal production, proofreading, and deadline tracking.
- Pitch in on additional marketing initiatives as needed—no two days are the same.
Required Skills & Required Experience
What We’re Looking For

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in AEC marketing or proposal support preferred.
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple deadlines with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with Adobe InDesign is a plus.
- Ability to work from our Rancho Cardova office at least three days per week.
