About The Role
We are seeking a proactive Product Application and Services Specialist to support the Simandou Project in Guinea. The successful candidate will drive product application and customer service activities, identify new service opportunities, conduct trials and quality audits, promote carbide recycling initiatives, and provide technical coaching to less experienced team members. The role will also be responsible for implementing site-level initiatives to sustain and grow the business through technical expertise, service excellence, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Assisting customers and the sales team with troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives.
- Delivering training to internal and external users and developing training materials.
- Testing and validating R&D rock tool designs for mining applications.
- Collaborating with Product Line Development teams to improve product performance and develop new technologies.
- Providing on-site technical consulting to optimize drilling operations and improve customer outcomes.
- Preparing technical reports and managing field tools and equipment.
- Developing technical documentation and support tools for frontline teams.
- Sharing product knowledge across the business by serving as a subject matter expert in the assigned area.
- Taking ownership of assigned customer contracts and driving implementation and execution activities to deliver customer value in line with established KPIs.
- Supporting field trials, tool selection, customer audits, and technical recommendations.
- Identifying improvement opportunities and driving customer satisfaction and brand loyalty across Rock Tools products and services.
- Executing assigned TSSR-related tasks and supporting the professional development of team members as required.
- Undertaking local and international travel as required for business needs, customer site engagements, and collaboration with key stakeholders as part of multidisciplinary teams driving business growth.
Qualification & Competencies
- Undergraduate Mining/Mechanical Engineer/Earth Sciences and/or Trade Experience.
- Excellent communication skills, practical experience in the field, strong analytical abilities, and familiarity with contracts and customer support and production processes in both mining and construction.
- Organized work methods and keen insight into what customers value.
- Comprehensive knowledge of product manufacturing processes.
