Are you curious about commercial real estate, passionate about data, and eager to work with one of the world's leading providers of investment decision support tools? As a Real Estate Data Intern, you'll join MSCI's Real Assets Data team, where you'll contribute to the creation of industry-leading real estate performance indexes, benchmarks, and analytics used by global investors, asset managers, and asset owners.
This internship offers hands-on experience with real estate data, market intelligence, client engagement, and innovative technologies—including AI-powered tools—to help shape the future of real estate investment analysis.

Your Key Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Contribute to the production of real estate performance indexes, benchmarks, analytical reports, and bespoke client solutions.
- Research and monitor commercial real estate transactions by tracking industry news, public sources, and third-party data providers.
- Support the management of a portfolio of real estate funds and/or clients by ensuring the accuracy and quality of investment data.
- Investigate and resolve client data inquiries while applying established data methodologies and quality standards.
- Deliver customized analyses and insights to meet specific client needs.
- Collaborate with global and local teams to maintain strong working relationships and deliver exceptional client service.
- Participate in key projects, meeting milestones and contributing to successful team outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows, and drive operational efficiency.
- Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to enhance data quality and optimize team processes.
- Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity, automate repetitive tasks, and support smarter decision-making.
What We're Looking For
- A strong interest in real estate, financial markets, or investment data.
- Availability to work for 30 or 40 hours per week.
- We're seeking students who are available for a 9–12 month internship, providing enough time to build expertise, take ownership of projects, and grow alongside our team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Comfort working with data and technology; experience with Excel is preferred.
- Interest in using AI tools to improve workflows and enhance productivity.
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Preferably from 6th semester onward.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Strong foundational knowledge of accounting and finance is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential; working knowledge of Python and/or VBA is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to work accurately with large datasets.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and improve workflows.
