The Plant Engineering Manager II at Fabricas Monterrey, S.A. de C.V. is responsible for overseeing all engineering activities within the plant, ensuring optimal operational efficiency, reliability, and safety of manufacturing processes and infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of plant engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
* Develop, implement, and manage plant engineering strategies, projects, and initiatives to support production goals and business objectives.
* Oversee the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of plant equipment, machinery, and facilities, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Identify and implement engineering solutions to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce costs, improve product quality, and enhance operational efficiency.
* Manage capital expenditure projects from conception through completion, including budget development, vendor selection, project scheduling, and performance monitoring.
* Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset lifecycles.
* Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and process deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
* Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures related to engineering, safety, and environmental protection.
* Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain departments to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement efforts.
* Prepare and present engineering reports, project updates, and performance metrics to senior management.

Job Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in plant engineering or maintenance roles within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
* Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects from initiation to completion.
* Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and industrial automation systems.
* Proficiency in project management software and CAD tools.
* Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
* Fluency in Spanish and English is highly desirable.
