Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a Electronics Engineer/ Principal Electronics Field Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. The candidate should be a self-starter with familiarity working in an Integrated Product Team construct. This position will be within our Avionics Integration Organization. This candidate will be responsible for the support and operation of large data centers using commercially available IT equipment. Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Perform datacenter hardware/software installation, configuration, and testing for both new systems and upgrades to existing complex IT systems * Physically construct rack-based datacenter systems with a focus on safety, quality, and ease of repair * Install system interconnect cabling for communications, audio, networking, and serial interfaces * Interpret, markup/redline, and audit released engineering drawings * Perform software integration of multiple software components into a single system on the host environment. Components include but are not limited to: Windows, Solaris, VMware, ESXI, network configurations, and internally developed executable software. * Perform integration and troubleshooting of software components across multiple networks interfacing with customer Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) * Maintain system hardware/software configuration and ensure that through documentation is created and maintained to allow others to integrate & troubleshoot in the future * Execute both temporary and permanent changes to the system via established processes * Provide expert software, hardware, and system support to on-site end-users. * Support the engineering team(s) with software defect resolution and enhancement efforts * Perform integrated logistics support (ILS) and inventory tracking for inbound and outbound hardware. * Participate in offsite upgrades and system integration activities The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Travel up to 25% may be required **This position can be filled at either an Electronics Engineer level or a Principal Electronics level, depending upon the qualifications below. ** Basic Qualifications: * • Electronics Engineer: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related engineering experience * • Principal Electronics Engineer: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 1years of related engineering experience * • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to support equipment installation * Familiar with Windows, Linux, VMWare configuration...
