The Policy Program Manager will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Policy, Insurance, Risk Management, Legal, Product, Data Science and Marketing on work ranging from campaign management to design and implementation of projects across US insurance-related initiatives. This role reports into the Senior Director, Policy & Communications for the U.S. and Canada.
What you’ll do
- Cross-functional coordination: Build and steer a program that will include diverse initiatives involving several parts of the business.
- See around corners: Monitor, actively manage and unblock efforts on priority projects to ensure effective execution and on-time delivery.
- Provide leverage: Ensure continuous and effective coordination of the cross-functional teams executing work within or in parallel to owned programs.
- Ensure high-quality communications: Assemble and deliver program reporting and presentations to both internal and external partners.
- Follow-up & follow-through: Hold yourself and stakeholders accountable by ensuring progress against program objectives and goals.
- Partner with third parties: Engage with external partners to help ensure the effectiveness of our insurance-related programs.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant experience in Policy, Campaign, Management Consulting, and/or Insurance experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- A demonstrated record of achievement in managing large and/or complex projects.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with an ability to quickly build relationships and gain respect in a cross-functional environment.
- Strategic problem solver with excellent business judgment and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with executive-level slide building and presentation abilities.
- Deep working knowledge of project management methodologies with a head for problem-solving and critical-thinking.
- A hard-working, thorough, organized, and motivated self-starter, constantly striving to improve your skills and look for ways to contribute to the team. Thrives on challenges and is not deterred by complicated/complex situations.
For New York City, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $159,000 per year - USD $177,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $159,000 per year - USD $177,000 per year.
For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $159,000 per year - USD $177,000 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
