What You Will Do:
Perform pipeline and facility welding activities while maintaining and passing required welding qualifications in accordance with applicable industry standards, including API 1104.
Safely operate and maintain welding, cutting, and oxyacetylene equipment to support maintenance, repair, and construction activities.
Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, as-built drawings, and technical specifications to complete fabrication and repair work accurately.
Identify and measure pipe, valves, fittings, and other components using mechanical and electronic measuring devices.
Support gas handling, non-destructive testing (NDT), and pressure testing activities while ensuring compliance with operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced employees and contractors, sharing technical expertise and promoting safe work practices.
Participate in work planning activities, contribute operational insights, and help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient pipeline operations.
Who You Are:
High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five years of directly related welding training and experience.
Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
Ability to maintain required welding qualifications and certifications for routinely used welding processes.
Strong technical, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and thorough knowledge of safe welding and cutting practices.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while following established procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Preferred:
Experience working in pipeline, natural gas, energy, or industrial operations environments.
Knowledge of DOT regulations, pressure testing procedures, NDT processes, and gas handling operations.
Experience directing work crews, mentoring apprentices, or providing technical guidance in the field.
Familiarity with fabrication, construction drawings, and field-based maintenance activities.
Proven ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement while maintaining compliance with company standards and procedures.
Working Conditions:
Primarily field-based position with outdoor work in varying weather and environmental conditions.
Frequent physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, entering excavations, kneeling, reaching, and walking on uneven terrain.
Must be available for overtime, weekend work, shift schedules, on-call duties, standby assignments, and overnight travel as required.
Position is classified as both a Safety Critical and Safety Sensitive role therefore additional background screening and testing will be required.
Must reside within, or be willing to relocate within, 30 miles of the assigned reporting location.
Requires adherence to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 50 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
Salary:
Ranges from $36.50 - $49.50 hourly USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.
Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
