Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in marketing with a focus on product marketing, growth marketing, brand management, or campaign execution within the consumer technology or digital platform space.
  • Experience launching regional marketing campaigns or product-driven growth initiatives across APAC markets.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4 years of product marketing experience working in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, consulting, or on an internet-based product or service, including product marketing or brand development.
  • Experience utilizing AI productivity tools to solve complex, multi-layered problems and streamline business or development workflows.
  • Experience in short-form-video category, with a passion for the YouTube ecosystem, digital culture, and the creator community.
  • Ability to manage go-to-market planning, including product research, insight generation, and value proposition development, and effectively influence strategy and investment with insights and data.
  • Demonstrated talent at building relationships and collaborating with global, regional, and local cross-functional teams.

About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

As a Marketing Manager in the APAC YouTube Marketing team, you will be instrumental in growing YouTube in the region, resulting in more users considering YouTube as a platform for entertainment, learning, growing their audience and expressing their creativity. You will work with global, regional and local teams to build YouTube Shorts go-to-market plans, manage Above The Line (ATL) and Below The Line (BTL) campaigns and activations, and balance local relevance with global cohesion. You will coordinate across multiple countries, languages and teams in the region, develop best practices, advocate innovation and look for creative solutions to achieve goals, tracking the performance of our campaigns will inform what's working, and how we can keep improving our marketing execution, product growth, and health of our APAC ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Define and localize the value proposition, message houses, and core narratives for YouTube Shorts and emerging creator features (including GenAI tools) across APAC.
  • Design, lead, and scale comprehensive regional GTM strategies for new product features and enhancements, driving user awareness, feature adoption, and campaign execution to deliver on regional platform growth and engagement OKRs.
  • Gather and synthesize APAC creator/viewer insights, local market trends, and engaged intelligence to advocate for regional needs, providing actionable feedback to influence global product development and roadmaps.
  • Develop and scale integrated campaigns and product-driven growth programs across the user lifecycle to grow active users and drive sustained usage of YouTube Shorts.
  • Partner with Insights and Analytics teams to conduct user research, analyze product usage data, and coordinate campaign holdback/incrementality experiments to optimize campaign efficacy and product performance.
