Summary / Objective

The Talent Acquisition Specialist (Japan) is responsible for leading end-to-end recruitment across STACK Infrastructure's Japan business, partnering with hiring managers to attract, assess, and hire exceptional talent across technical, operational, corporate, and leadership functions.

Working closely with leaders across Critical Operations, Delivery, Engineering, Finance, People & Culture, IT, and other business units, the role supports workforce planning, talent acquisition strategy, employer branding, and recruitment excellence while ensuring compliance with Japanese employment legislation and company policies.

As a key member of the People & Culture team, this role plays an integral part in enabling STACK's continued growth in Japan by building high-performing teams and attracting talent who embody the Company's values of safety, integrity, operational excellence, customer focus, innovation, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage end-to-end recruitment across Japan, delivering high-quality talent acquisition outcomes for technical, operational, corporate, and leadership roles.

· Partner with hiring managers to develop workforce plans, define role requirements, competency profiles, interview processes, and hiring strategies that support business growth and operational expansion.

· Develop and execute sourcing strategies across the data centre, engineering, construction, critical infrastructure, technology, manufacturing, utilities, telecommunications, professional services, and corporate sectors.

· Build and maintain strong talent pipelines through recruitment agencies, LinkedIn, employee referrals, universities, technical institutions, professional associations, networking, and industry events.

· Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, onboarding coordination, and recruitment administration.

· Deliver an exceptional candidate experience by ensuring timely communication, professional engagement, and efficient recruitment processes.

· Coordinate interviews, technical assessments, site visits, onboarding activities, and recruitment communications with candidates and hiring teams.

· Provide hiring managers and business leaders with regular recruitment updates, market intelligence, talent insights, and workforce analytics to support informed decision-making.

· Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, external recruitment partners, educational institutions, and industry networks.

· Ensure recruitment activities comply with applicable Japanese employment legislation, privacy requirements, company policies, and internal governance standards while maintaining accurate records within ATS and HR systems.

· Monitor recruitment performance, prepare reports and dashboards, and identify opportunities to improve recruitment efficiency, quality, and consistency.

· Collaborate with People & Culture, Learning & Development, and operational leaders to support workforce capability, succession planning, certification requirements, and long-term talent development.

· Champion STACK's values and foster a culture of safety, integrity, inclusion, operational excellence, customer focus, teamwork, and merit-based hiring.

Work Environment / Conditions

· Primarily based onsite at STACK Infrastructure facilities (approximately 70%) and offices (approximately 30%) across Japan.

· Operates in a dynamic environment requiring a combination of office-based, site-based, and stakeholder-facing activities to support business operations.

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel within Japan and, from time to time, across the APAC region to support recruitment activities, workforce planning, and business operations.

Required Education, Experience & Skills

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Engineering, or a related discipline.

· Experience recruiting within data centres, engineering, construction, manufacturing, critical infrastructure, facilities management, or technology environments.

· Strong interest in technical and engineering recruitment, particularly within mission-critical or operational environments.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

· Proven ability to manage multiple recruitment assignments and competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth organisation.

· Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS, recruitment technologies, and onboarding platforms.

· Professional proficiency in Japanese and business-level English (written and spoken).

· Sound understanding of Japanese employment legislation, recruitment practices, onboarding requirements, and employment documentation.

· High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and candidate information.

· Comfortable working in a dynamic, operationally critical environment with changing business priorities.

· Demonstrated commitment to complying with STACK's policies, procedures, information security requirements, and behavioural standards.
