The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:
This is a great opportunity for an experienced and strong accountant to join the Enterprise Services (ES) Accounting & Compliance organization for RTX business units. This role will lead a broad set of financial responsibilities including assisting in the month end close process, reporting, and audits.
What You Will Do
Support the monthly payroll process for RTX accounting ledger.
Preparing and posting complex journal entries.
Completing account reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner.
Provide reporting and support analysis to Finance leads across RTX business unit.
Assist with internal and external auditor requests.
Act as a resource for other Payroll Accounting team members to analyze and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.
Participate in critical projects, collaborating with Payroll Operations, Payroll Tax, HR, Benefits Finance, 3rd party vendors, Digital Technology, Internal Controls and the SBU’s.
Focus on process improvement and alignment across Strategic Business Units (SBU’s) to drive accuracy and efficiency.
Cultivate a culture focused on controls and compliance with US GAAP, RTX Policy and U.S. government cost accounting standards (CAS).
Participate in critical projects, collaborating with Payroll Operations, Payroll Tax, HR, Benefits Finance, 3rd party vendors, Digital Technology, Internal Controls and the SBU’s.
Qualifications You Must Have
A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field and minimum 5 years relevant experience ideally gained in a public accounting/private industry or corporate setting OR An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
Experience with Payroll Accounting.
Experience with monthly payroll process, preparing and posting complex journal entries, and completing account reconciliations.

Work Location: This is a hybrid role, eligible candidates must reside within commuting distance of Richardson TX, Cedar Rapids IA, Tucson AZ, or Farmington CT.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
