We are excited to introduce an exceptional opportunity for an experienced ServiceNow – Developer to join Downer's Enterprise Service Management Platforms team.

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Service Management Platforms, this role is responsible for designing, building, configuring and supporting solutions across the ServiceNow platform. You will transform business requirements into scalable, high-quality and maintainable platform capabilities, including workflows, integrations, scoped applications and enterprise service solutions.

Operating within a product-led DevOps model, you will work across a diverse portfolio of projects and initiatives, partnering closely with Business Analysts, ServiceNow Architects, Configuration Management and business stakeholders. Consistent with our "you build it, you run it" approach, you'll retain end-to-end ownership of the solutions you deliver, from development and deployment through to support and continuous improvement.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives while working with modern ServiceNow technologies and best-practice development frameworks.

This position can be based in North Ryde (Sydney) or Milton (Brisbane).

About the Role

In this role you will:

  • Design, build, configure and support ServiceNow solutions including workflows, business rules, integrations, scoped applications and user interfaces.
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected, scalable and maintainable platform capabilities aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using REST and SOAP technologies.
  • Work across a variety of projects and initiatives delivering enhancements and new capabilities across the ServiceNow platform.
  • Apply development best practice including automation, version control, testing and CI/CD principles.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects and Configuration Management specialists to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Support solution deployment, production support, incident resolution and ongoing optimisation.
  • Contribute to platform standards, reusable components and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to support ServiceNow platform maturity and capability uplift.

This is a hands-on technical role where you will have the opportunity to influence platform direction while delivering solutions that support critical business services across the organisation.

You are a passionate ServiceNow developer who enjoys solving complex business challenges through technology. You have strong technical capability, thrive in collaborative environments and take ownership of delivering high-quality solutions from concept through to support.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD or equivalent are highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and configuring solutions on the ServiceNow platform as well as Kofax, K2 and Azure DevOps.
  • Strong hands-on skills across workflows, business rules, script includes client scripts, integrations and scoped applications.
  • Experience designing and supporting integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise applications.
  • Solid understanding of ServiceNow architecture, data models and development best practices.
  • Experience working within Agile, DevOps or product-led delivery environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Commitment to quality, continuous improvement and technical excellence.
