About the role

The Technical Business Analyst will act as the key link between a European Public Sector client, business stakeholders, and technical delivery teams, ensuring that business needs are clearly understood and translated into actionable requirements. This role involves gathering and analyzing requirements, documenting functional and technical specifications, supporting solution design, facilitating communication in Italian and English, coordinating testing activities, and contributing to the successful delivery of an intelligent conversational solution. Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts would be considered an advantage.

Daily challenges         

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements from client stakeholders, ensuring clarity across Italian- and English-speaking teams.
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, functional specifications, process flows, and acceptance criteria for the technical solution.
• Collaborate with solution architects, developers, UX specialists, and client representatives to define flows, integrations, and service scenarios.
• Support the analysis and refinement of chatbot intents, entities, knowledge sources, and response logic, applying awareness of Natural Language Processing concepts.
• Contribute to discussions around Large Language Models, prompt behavior, content accuracy, and responsible use of AI.
• Prepare and coordinate functional, integration, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Facilitate communication, demos, workshops, and knowledge transfer sessions with client stakeholders, delivery teams, and support teams.

eXperience and skills required 

• 4+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role, ideally supporting digital, AI, chatbot, or data-driven solution delivery.
• Professional working proficiency in Italian (written and spoken), with the ability to support stakeholder workshops, requirements discussions, documentation review, and day-to-day communication.
• Strong ability to elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements, including user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.
• Understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts, including machine learning modeling, analytics use cases, Natural Language Processing, and conversational AI solutions.
• Familiarity with AI/ML delivery tools and environments such as Jupyter, Amazon Web Services SageMaker, Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio, and ML pipelines.
• Ability to collaborate with data scientists, developers, solution architects, testers, and client representatives to bridge business needs with technical implementation.
• Awareness of Python, R, or Scala languages, with the ability to understand technical discussions and support analysis, validation, and documentation of AI/ML-related requirements.
