The KEO (Key Equity Opportunity) Sales Support Officer (KEO specialist) will be responsible for serving clients referred by field Loan officers and HLC loan officers that are requesting a KEO application (Home Equity Loan or Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC)). The field or HLC loan officer will first determine the appropriate product (Mortgage, Home Equity Loan or Home Equity Line of Credit) and if KEO, the client will be referred to the KEO specialist team.
Responsibilities
- Completes the application with the client and submits the application to the CLC (Consumer Lending Center).
- Assist in the day-to-day processing, document tracking and gathering/forwarding of all required documents as it relates to KEO originations
- Acts as a liaison between the Loan Officer, the banker who referred the client, if applicable, the client and operations partners in the CLC to ensure a seamless process for the client
- Prioritize and route incoming referrals, as well as any customer correspondence
- Follows up with clients on missing or supporting documentation needed to complete application
- Reviews line amounts, values, and any required outstanding conditions, that are warranted to move the KEO to closing
- Ensures movement of loans through pipeline and coordinates the closing with the appropriate branch and branch team and client.
- Must adhere to pertinent laws, regulations, Key’s Compliance Policy and external compliance requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
- Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.
Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalency (required)
Experience Qualifications
- 1-3 years Banking experience, with an emphasis on mortgage sales and operations (required)
- Working knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, TIL regulations, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, RESPA regulations, local and state real estate and finance laws (required)
- Proven success working in fast-paced, high volume environments (required)
- 1-3 years Sales and customer service skills: including tele-consulting, prospecting, networking and COI relationship management (required)
Tactical Skills
- Knowledge of products, services, policies and procedures for mortgage sales
- Demonstrated knowledge of purchase lending requirements and documentation
- Proficiency in Blend & ACAPS is a plus
- Strong administrative, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail Oriented, with Strong Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must have ability to work independently, and to manage loan origination pipeline to deadline dates

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $20.67 - $31.25 per hour. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.Please click here for a list of benefits for which this position is eligible.
