As Head of Real Estate you will play a key role in shaping how JYSK works with building automation, energy management, and operational excellence across our store portfolio. Based at our Head Office in Aarhus, you will establish and develop a newly created function while leading initiatives that support JYSK’s continued growth and expansion.

WHAT YOUR NEXT JOB WILL BE ABOUT

In this role, you will be responsible for transforming strategic ambitions into operational standards and scalable solutions. You will lead the development of JYSK’s Centre of Excellence within Real Estate and ensure that building automation, energy management, and Smart Store technologies are implemented consistently across countries.

The position includes approximately 4-6 travel days per month and involves close collaboration with stakeholders throughout the organisation.

Your tasks and responsibilities in the job include:

• Establishing and leading the Real Estate Center of Excellence
• Driving the implementation and continuous development of the Smart Store initiative across 29 countries
• Defining and maintaining standards, guidelines, and execution models for building solutions
• Leading initiatives within energy management and building automation to improve operational performance
• Supporting ISO-related processes and ensuring alignment between strategy and operational execution
• Acting as a member of the Real Estate Leadership Team and contributing to strategic decision-making
• Providing leadership and professional guidance to both Head Office teams and matrix stakeholders across countries

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING

You are an experienced leader who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You are comfortable working in an international environment and know how to create alignment across multiple stakeholders. At the same time, you bring strong technical knowledge and a structured approach to implementing complex solutions.

Ideally, we are looking for a new colleague who:

• Has more than 10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably from an international organisation
• Holds an engineering degree or a similar technical qualification within Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Building Automation, or a related discipline
• Has extensive experience with building automation systems, energy management, and technical building solutions
• Has strong project management capabilities and a track record of delivering complex international projects
• Understands operational excellence, ISO standards, and the conversion of strategy into measurable actions
• Is an engaging leader who can develop teams and build strong relationships across functions and countries
• Has experience working with energy management systems, building management systems, and standard business applications
