We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our growing team. This is a hands on role responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of mechanical maintenance, installations, repairs and project work within a marine engineering environment.

The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and workmanship.

Complete maintenance activities, repairs, installations and project work in a timely and efficient manner. Carry out hands-on mechanical maintenance, fault finding and troubleshooting. Conduct routine inspections and planned preventative maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment. Ensure all work complies with relevant engineering standards, safety regulations and company procedures. Diagnose and resolve technical issues to minimise downtime and maximise operational performance. Accurately record work completed, parts used and time spent on tasks. Work closely with colleagues across Electrical, Operations, Safety and Quality teams to support project delivery. Provide technical guidance and support to team members, helping to develop skills and knowledge across the team. Contribute to a positive safety culture and promote continuous improvement initiatives.

Recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Boat Building or a related discipline. Significant recent experience within the marine industry. Good understanding of boat building techniques, methods and processes. In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, engineering tools and industry standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics and technical documentation. Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Strong decision-making abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
