CIS - Cyber and Network Security Daytime Faculty

Good Faith Pay Range: In accordance with Virginia law, the good-faith pay range for this position is $52,000-$80,080 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, skills, and other legitimate business factors. 

This position will work at ECPI University’s Newport News, VA campus location. 

Overview ECPI University is seeking a full-time Cyber & Network Security Faculty Member to deliver high-quality, hands-on instruction in cybersecurity and networking. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about teaching and preparing students for real-world careers in IT security.   Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Cyber and Network Security in a hands-on learning environment
• Deliver instruction in five-week terms with small class sizes
• Provide individualized academic support to students
• Incorporate real-world cybersecurity and networking practices into teaching
• Collaborate with program leadership to enhance curriculum and course delivery
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies

Qualifications Education

• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
  OR
• Master’s degree with 18+ graduate semester hours in a related discipline
• Ph.D. preferred

Experience

• 3–5 years of industry experience in cybersecurity or networking (10+ years preferred)
• Experience in applications of AI in Cybersecurity
• Demonstrated expertise in Artificial Intelligence applications in cybersecurity
• Teaching, training, or public speaking experience preferred

Technical Skills Required:

• Networking fundamentals
• AI/ML concepts and applications in cybersecurity
• Windows (client/server)
• Linux systems
• Cisco routers and switches

Preferred:

• Cloud computing (AWS, Azure)
• Mobile technologies

Certifications (Preferred)

• CISSP
• CEH
• AI/ML-related certifications (e.g., Azure AI, AWS ML Specialty)
• CHFI
• CompTIA A+, Network+
• CCNA
