Senior Facade Engineer

Job Description

Overview         

The role will be responsible for all projects assigned to you and for assisting the Façade Consultancy teams on their projects, offering engineering support and technical advice where needed.

Your role

• Lead the technical delivery of façade engineering services on single- and multidisciplinary projects.
• Be responsible for façade and façade access deliverables for all projects assigned to your team, including drawing packages, calculations, reports, specifications etc.
• Ensure that quality of design deliverables is maintained and that system designs align with design intent and code requirements.
• Assist with project and detail library and filing maintenance, project archiving etc.
• Continually plan and report on progress of works, undertake weekly progress planning sessions and provide weekly progress reports to the Malaysia office lead.
• You will support the Dubai office team with project delivery and assist in scheduling Malaysian resources to suit the project workload.
• Supervise subordinate staff, provide assistance to the design team members and ensure that the team is working efficiently and effectively.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in façade engineering, including the design and delivery of curtain walls, glazing systems, skylights, windows, and façade access systems.
• Strong knowledge of façade materials, structural glass design, relevant international codes, and façade performance requirements.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality technical outputs within programme and budget constraints.
• Experience leading small project teams and mentoring junior engineers and technicians.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary and international teams.
