Job Description

Are you detail-oriented, safety-minded, and looking to build a rewarding manufacturing career? As a Packaging Associate at Avery Dennison, you will play a vital role in our finishing operations. You will inspect, label, and package finished goods to customer specifications while ensuring zero-defect quality standards. You will join a supportive team where your dedication to precision, safety, and continuous improvement makes an immediate impact.

Shift: B Team, M-F 3p-11p

Starting Hiring Rate: $22.47/hr plus $2/hr shift differential

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality & Packaging: Sort, label, inspect, and package finished product rolls according to strict customer quality requirements and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Equipment & Operations: Safely operate manual packaging machinery, banding equipment, and core preparation tools; assist with basic equipment maintenance.

  • Inventory & Order Tracking: Use digital inventory tracking software to process and track multiple packing orders simultaneously.

  • Workplace Excellence: Keep production lines supplied with packaging materials, maintain 5S audit standards, and actively participate in team safety compliance.

  • Team Collaboration: Communicate essential operational information across shifts and participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving teams.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: High school diploma/GED OR 3+ years of relevant manufacturing or warehouse experience.

  • Technical & Physical Skills: Basic computer proficiency (inventory tracking entry), ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and ability to obtain a Lift Truck Operator license.

  • Core Competencies: Commitment to safety, team-first attitude, high attention to detail, and ability to follow written and oral instructions.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a rotating 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule and overtime as needed.
