Your mission

Overview

Project Soar is a registered Moroccan charity founded in 2013 with a mission to empower adolescent girls to become the leaders of today and tomorrow. Project Soar also operates Talili, a social enterprise providing reusable menstrual kits to NGOs, humanitarian organizations, and other partners. Talili invests 100% of its profits into Project Soar’s programs, helping expand access to menstrual health education and support for underserved girls.

We are seeking a creative, organized, and mission-driven Digital Communications & Graphic Design Officer to join our Business Development & Communications team. The ideal candidate is passionate about girls' empowerment, highly creative, detail-oriented, and experienced in developing compelling visual and digital communications. They will play a key role in strengthening Project Soar's online presence, supporting fundraising and donor communications, and ensuring our brand is consistently represented across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

  • Manage the social media presence of Project Soar and Talili across all platforms.

  • Develop and maintain a monthly social media content calendar.

  • Create engaging graphics, videos, reels, and other digital content.

  • Write and adapt captions and campaign messaging in line with Project Soar's voice and branding.

  • Coordinate with programme staff to collect stories, photos, videos, and impact data for social media.

  • Ensure timely delivery of social media content required for donor visibility and communication commitments.

  • Monitor engagement by responding to comments, messages, and mentions, and fostering an active online community.

  • Track performance metrics and prepare regular analytics reports to improve content strategy.

  • Maintain accurate records of published content for donor reporting and organizational documentation.

Graphic Design & Communications

  • Design high-quality graphics and visual materials for social media, fundraising campaigns, events, publications, presentations, and the website.

  • Design and update brochures, flyers, banners, posters, reports, and other print and digital materials.

  • Support the design and layout of Project Soar's Annual Report and other organizational publications.

  • Develop presentations and informational materials for meetings, events, and partner engagements.

  • Collaborate with external printers and vendors to prepare materials for production while ensuring quality standards are met.

  • Support the design of fundraising and advocacy campaigns

Website & Digital Communications

  • Maintain and update the Project Soar and Talili websites.

  • Support the drafting and design of newsletters and donor communications.

  • Ensure website and digital content remain accurate, up to date, and aligned with Project Soar's branding.

Photography & Multimedia

  • Photograph and film Project Soar activities, workshops, and events.

  • Edit photos and videos for use across communication channels.

  • Organize and maintain the organization's digital photo and video archive (PhotoShelter).

Coordination & Collaboration

  • Coordinate with external creative service providers, including photographers, videographers, illustrators, designers, and printers.

  • Participate in weekly team meetings and other organizational planning sessions.

  • Perform other communications-related duties as assigned by the Business Development & Communications team.

Your profile

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in social media management, graphic design, or digital communications.

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, Multimedia, or a related field is a plus

  • Experience working within an NGO, nonprofit, or international development organization is an asset.

  • Professional proficiency in English and Arabic is required; French is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multicultural team.

  • Knowledge of gender equality, girls' empowerment, sexual and reproductive health, or menstrual health is highly desirable.

  • Commitment to Project Soar's mission and values.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Canva.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign 

  • Experience using CapCut or other video editing software.

  • Experience managing websites using Squarespace and Weglot.

  • Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and social media analytics tools.

  • Strong Microsoft Office and Google Workspace skills.

Working at Project Soar

Project Soar operates a five-day work week from its headquarters in Marrakech. This is a full-time, office-based, salaried position. Applicants should currently reside in Marrakech or be willing to relocate before the start date.
