We are looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for leading project-based initiatives and managerial assignments across the Finance function. Main Tasks:
Initial Position – Acting Manager of the Chartering & Administration Procurement Department
Chartering Payments & Accounts Management
- Oversee chartering-related payments and account balances, ensuring accuracy, timely execution, and proper approvals.
- Monitor vessel owners’ and charterers’ accounts, cash flow forecasts, and key control reports.
- Support financial closing activities and maintain compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
HO Suppliers & Administration Payments & Accounts Management
- Manage HO suppliers’ and administration-related payments, ensuring timely processing and accurate accounting.
- Oversee VAT and tax reporting processes, including ongoing controls and regulatory compliance.
- Support quarterly and annual closing activities, provisions management, and SOX compliance.
Equipment Quarterly & Annual Financial Statements Management
- Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual Equipment-related financial reports and balance sheet accounts.
- Analyze variances, manage accruals and provisions, and ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with SOX and reporting requirements.
Following Position – Potential areas of responsibility:
Following the acting assignment, the role is expected to evolve into a broader Finance leadership position, providing support across multiple Finance units based on business priorities, organizational needs, and strategic initiatives.
Potential areas of responsibility include:
- Leading and supporting cross-functional Finance projects across the Finance functions, according to business needs and workload requirements.
- Financial reporting – Merger-related assignments, financial strategic projects and ad-hoc executive deliverables, as well as supporting interfaces within the Finance functions and with parties in other functions.
- Financial Data / Applications – Supporting reporting, analytics, data governance, and Finance data management initiatives.
- SAP S/4HANA Implementation - Supporting SAP S/4HANA implementation and related Finance systems enhancement projects.
- Participating in Cyber Security and Business Continuity initiatives to strengthen Finance operational resilience and readiness.
- Providing interim leadership and project support to Finance departments experiencing temporary resource constraints, organizational changes, or increased workload.
- Driving special assignments and executive-level projects, while serving as a flexible Finance resource capable of integrating quickly into different functions and contributing where needed most.
Requirements
- CPA (IL), following internship at one of the BIG4 firms. Preference to those with experience in Audit teams handling global / large-scale / publicly traded corporates.
- Up to 2 years of Managerial experience – At the accounting firms, or at a ‘first’ position following the internship (outside the accounting firms).
- Adequate English to maintain frequent written (and sometime verbal) communication.
