Digital Communications Intern

ONWARD Medical is looking for a creative and motivated Digital Communications Intern to join our team for a six-month internship. As a mission-driven medical technology company, we are dedicated to developing innovative therapies that restore movement, independence, and health for people with spinal cord injury. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in communications, digital content creation, and social media while contributing to our global brand and helping share the impact of our work.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Create engaging content for our social media channels across key platforms.
• Capture and edit photos, videos, and short-form content from company events, interviews, and behind-the-scenes activities.
• Help bring our brand to life through creative storytelling and compelling visual content.
• Support the planning, creation, and execution of social media campaigns, from concept to publication, ensuring alignment with our global communications strategy and brand standards.
• Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to enhance engagement and visibility.
• Assist with other corporate  communications activities and projects as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Strong interest in social media, content creation, and visual storytelling.
• Experience creating photo, video, and social media content, either through coursework, personal projects, or previous internships.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and basic photo/video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset.
• Creative, proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
