Software Asset Associate Analyst

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Software Asset Management team at Marsh. This role will be based at our London office and is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The Software Asset Associate Analyst provides support throughout the software asset lifecycle to help optimize value, cost and reduce risk associated to software ownership.  This includes operational support for software asset management initiatives such as software reclamation and software blacklisting.  It also involves preparing regular reports that can be reviewed and actioned by other members of the Software Asset Management team.  The Software Asset Associate Analyst also engages with and assists internal clients with BAU reporting requests and enquiries, software downloads and license availability checks as needed.

  • To provide support throughout the software asset lifecycle to help optimize value, cost and reduce risk associated to software ownership

  • To work in a global company with complex challenges across multiple Lines of Business each with different priorities

We will count on you to:

  • Engage with and assist internal stakeholders with ad-hoc reporting requests, queries and software downloads  

  • Assume primary responsibility for CA Queue Management, license checks and software enquiries

  • Manage and distribute BAU, weekly headcount, incident reporting

  • Review and optimize compliance reporting as well as support application profiling

  • Assist with and maintain SAM Pro dashboards

  • Prepare regular reports that can be reviewed and actioned by other members of the team

  • Day to day running of software reclamation campaigns including managing the reclamation SharePoint site

  • All user communications and scheduling the uninstallation of software

  • Day to day running of software blacklisting process including identifying unauthorized installations, user communications and monitoring software removals

What you need to have: 

  • To be highly process driven with strong analytical skills

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent relevant experience

  • Any Publisher specific licensing certification

  • Power BI certificates

  • Demonstrable experience within an software asset management position would be strongly advantageous

  • Solid knowledge of asset lifecycle and best practices

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks interchangeably and to develop and create reports

  • Self-motivated and results oriented with superior customer service skills
