The VDC QAQC Specialist is responsible for performing quality assurance and quality control reviews of coordinated mechanical and plumbing BIM models, coordinated drawings, and fabrication documentation. This position provides an independent set of experienced eyes to verify that VDC deliverables are accurate, complete, constructible, coordinated, and aligned with contract documents, project specifications, approved submittals, manufacturer requirements, applicable codes, and company standards.
The VDC QAQC Specialist works closely with VDC Coordinators, Project Managers, VDC Management, and trade partners to identify deficiencies, communicate findings, and support continuous improvement throughout the VDC and construction process. The role requires strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems, BIM coordination, constructability, and the ability to clearly document and communicate technical issues.
Required Qualifications:
Experience in VDC, BIM coordination, mechanical construction, plumbing construction, or a related field.
Strong understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems and construction practices.
Experience reviewing Revit models and coordinated construction drawings.
Working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, Smartsheet and Bluebeam.
Ability to interpret contract drawings, specifications, submittals, and manufacturer documentation.
Understanding of mechanical and plumbing coordination and constructability.
Ability to identify incomplete systems, coordination issues, and potential field installation problems.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform systematic quality reviews.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to provide clear, professional, and fact-based QAQC feedback.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with VDC teams, Project Managers, and trade partners.

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
